About Abdur Rahim

Hello! I’m Abdur Rahim, a passionate Shershabadia singer, songwriter, and literary artist from Malda, India. My journey into the world of music and literature reflects my love for our heritage, and my work is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich Shershabadia culture through words and melodies.

My music blends the heart of Shershabadia traditions with contemporary sounds, creating an authentic yet modern experience. Songs like "Hamio Ekdin Moira Jabo" and "Nani Hanke Daikka Pathalchhe" echo the emotions of my people, and they resonate with listeners of all backgrounds. My latest song, "Ma Khajurer Gachh," set to release on November 25, 2024, is a pop-style folk song, composed and sung in C major with a heartfelt, melodic chorus.

Besides music, I am also an avid writer of poetry, short stories, and essays in both Shershabadia and English. My literary works are frequently published in Shershabader Kagoch, a journal led by my mentor, Dr. Abdul Wahab. This collaboration and guidance have enriched my journey, allowing me to express the spirit of my community in both music and writing.

In addition to my artistic pursuits, I hold a Master's in Psychology and English Literature, and I am the founder of Psyurge, a platform for psychological and scientific articles. My academic and professional background informs my work, allowing me to create art that connects deeply with human emotions.

I invite you to join me on this journey as I continue to explore and share the beauty of our Shershabadia culture. Whether it’s through my music, writing, or performances, my mission remains to celebrate our heritage and inspire unity through the arts.
